Last year, the Lady Bucks soccer team made it all the way to the Class D soccer championship. Expectations were set for the new team. Do they have another shot?

Eleven seniors who played on the team last year have since graduated, leaving questions about whether the new, younger leaders of the team are up for the challenge of filling the old cleats of the late seniors.

Justin Davis, new head coach of BJSHS girls soccer, said that the current players “have positive attitudes and that have good friendships and chemistry.” He said the team has lots of younger players who haven’t had much game experience.

So far, the Lady Bucks are 4-0. However, the team is playing 8-man instead of the traditional 11. The toughest competition is thought to be Richmond, which the Lady Bucks will play on October 9th for their homecoming game. Currently, the top scorer is Daisy Vining with a total of 4 goals.

The Homecoming game is Thursday, October 9th. They will be playing Richmond at 3:30 pm, and there will be concessions. Each grade will have different food, and the money you spend at their table will go towards their class.
